Bob was born in Bedford in 1948. A self taught artist he painted in his spare time until compelled by his love of the Dorset coast and countryside he moved to chideok in 1994 to take up painting full time.
His painting career has seen a developement through a number of styles; from highly detailed work on canvas through to the impressinist style of his current work. This current style of working shows strongly the influence of J.M.W. Turner whom Bob has always admired
Although at the moment concentrating on developing his work in oils, Bob is a highly competent draughtsman and watercolourist. He is also a keen photographer.
Bob currently exhibits mainly in West Dorset, with anumber of private collectors throughout the UK. He has also worked in Europe, Australia and the U.S.A. |

She has had two solo shows at the Malthouse Gallery, East Lambrook, in Somerset, and has been a contributor for the past 6 years to the Art for Youth Show at the Mall Galleries in London. She has shown her work at the Whitehouse Gallery in Kirkudbright and at the Dadbrook Gallery, Cuddington near Oxford, and nearer home at the Guggleton Gallery at Stalbridge and the Picturehouse galleries in Cornwall.
Venice has long been a favourite subject of Sue's and since she began painting seriously seven years ago she has painted many pictures of the city and returns there as often as she can. The local Dorset coast provides endless inspiration, and travels always produce a rash of paintings - lately Egypt , and in particular India, have proved inspirational . Her other subjects have included birds, animals, buildings, boats, and she has also produced a number of pictures of London streets and river scenes.
